Rental Property Registration
The City of Denison has passed an ordinance requiring the registration and inspection of all residential rental units within the city limits of Denison.
The registration form must be filled out for each address that you own or manage. The Property Maintenance Check List identifies the inspection items that will be addressed. You may go through this self-inspection form and make note if your property significantly complies with this ordinance.
Over the next several months, you may be contacted for an on-site inspection.
The Annual Rental Property Registration forms for the 2010 year were mailed to landlords on November 19, 2009. Please keep in mind the following key dates:
- All registrations are due by February 28, 2010.
- Registrations received after March 1, 2010 an additional $50.00 late fee per structure will be added. Failure to return registrations by April 1, 2010 will result in a Municipal Infraction.
- If you have sold a property or are in contract to sell a property please notify City Hall, so our records can be updated and corrected. Falure to do so could result in a Municipal Infraction.
